A SHORT FILM
The story
Esther throws her clothes off the balcony. A hat floats down in front of a busker so he gets money. The busker goes and get a drink from a vending machine and opens it and it explodes onto Doreen who is just about to go for a job interview at the hotel Esther is staying in. Yet luckily a coat floats down so they can hide the drink stains. Doreen heads to her interview. In one of the offices the Head of Employment sits and sees a scarf stuck on the window. She grabs it and puts it on, rather liking it. She decides to wear it. At the interview, Doreen compliments the scarf which puts the Head of Employment in a good mood and they get the job. Doreen is shown around the hotel and their first job is to deliver room service to room 321. It’s Esther’s room.
The reason
This story does not resemble the whole story of the novel. I decided to focus on a small scene that I found quite visual and made me consider a separate story.
